What is buttonsens?
Finger force measurement for interfaces and actions.
Using a textile sensor, buttonsens measures force when pushing a button or when a finger interfaces with an object. In ergonomics, manufacturing quality control and biomechanics, it quantifies the force applied by the finger during real actions.
The sensor is attached to the finger or thumb and measures the normal force. It uses one fully calibrated capacitive sensor made of textile materials and connects to small, lightweight loadpad electronics.
